During the 9 March 2012 MAAD, we offered DIY painting classes on canvas ($10) as well as designing on fabric purses and pencil cases ($18). I have sewn the above canvas purses and pencil cases to be drawn or painted with fabric markers, crayons or paints. They will be offered at the next MAAD as well. Do come down and create your own masterpiece for yourself or as a gift! Check out the following painting we did on some mini bags.

I have created a free tutorial for a parenting column in MyPaper 我报, on how to redesign your old T-shirt. Art Workshop at MAAD!

We offered for the first time, on-the-spot DIY Paint Your Own Canvas ($10) or Zip Purse/Pencil Case ($18) for kids & adults at MAAD on Friday, 9 March 2012. Teaching assistants were Treise and Dylan. In fact, I was away, buying dinner for the 3 of us at the nearby Maxwell Hawker Food Centre when the first child approached them to paint on the spot. Dylan called me to confirm the price for the painting session - it was $10 per canvas. By the time I came back to MAAD 10 minutes later, 3 kids were already painting and one had just made payment to Dylan to start. I was probably redundant since my 2 young assistants were managing the 4 kids very well. I already knew Treise can teach but I did not realise Dylan had hidden depths! Hmmm.... both Treise & Dylan received plenty of praises. So, the DIY Painting sessions are going to be a regular offering at MAAD as my 2 young assistants became very excited with their success and told me imperiously that I must get more pre-drawn canvases for the next MAAD!

I admit, I update our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/Barangshop , more often than I do here. It's fast and simple lah. Anyway, we had a great time during 10 Feb's MAAD. Treise sold 6 paintings of which 2 were actually painted on the spot, and she's delirious with joy. Seeing Treise's success, Dylan decided to paint too. He'll be bringing his paper plane sculptures to sell at tomorrow's(9 March) MAAD. Please support them! 


We will be bringing our hair accessories, jewellery, bags & purses as well as Treise's, Dylan's and my bro-in-law Deepu's paintings to MAAD! Not to mention DIY painting supplies for anyone who wants to paint! Do join us if you can!

Another flea market!

We'll be at Flea-tique! X'mas flea at dbl O this Saturday, 17 December 2011 from 2-8pm. Location : 222 Queen Street, Singapore 188550. We are bringing more of our new range of handcrafted genuine leather accessories & jewellery as well as more fabric pouches! Do come and visit us!

Flea-tique on 7th November at 8Q - SAM!!!

Yeah!!! We'll be at Flea-tique on 7th November at 8Q - SAM from 6pm to 1am! We'll be bringing jewellery; accessories like our bags, pouches, purses, belts, hair accessories; brand new apparel & sandals; as well as some really pretty preloved dresses etc etc. I may have left some things out but come visit us that evening. Who knows you might find something for yourself or even X'mas presents for your buddies!

Bazaar Stalls in August!

We tried out the Sculpture Square and the Expo flea markets in July - crowds were so-so . Darling son said we must sell at more bazaars so we will be at the following places this August.

Bazaar Stall in July!

Ok, my son's been pestering me to get a bazaar table for him to "sell things and money" and I've folded. We've got a table at Sculpture Square's H.E.A.R.T Market on 11 and 12th July 2009 - Saturday and Sunday. We'll be selling bags, purses, pouches, wallets, some jewellery and of course, our Sewing and Crafting Supplies, Patterns & Kits... So do come and visit us and of course buy from us!
